Cycle Killer by Kyle MacDonald

"Cycle Killer" is an exploration of the city fabric
of Montreal taking place in and around the spring thaw.
Emerging photographer and Plateau resident, Kyle MacDonald
accidentally turned a warm spring afternoon on April 1, 2008
into an exhibit culled from close to
one hundred winter-worn bicycle photos
taken within the span of just a couple city blocks.

The focus of the imagery is at first recognizable,
uplifting and humourous in its collision of winter and spring.
At the same time, it carries a shocking jolt painted by the
mangled metal corpses of once-loved bicycles abandoned
by their owners in their hurried retreat from the winter onslaught.
